Most underwater photographers and divers have
a natural interest in ,and
passion for protecting
the marine environment.
Lets face it if you harm it, or kill it, then it will not be
there to see or enjoy another day. I would like to ask anybody
purchasing underwater
images, not to purchase images with divers holding or destroying any
living sea life (turtles, lobsters, coral,
or any living creature). If there is no market for
them then these images
will not be taken or sold!! It is also not art and not funny to
cause harm and distress to living creatures in the interest of
taking a picture.
Also please can i ask you not to
purchase shells or coral on holidays as souvenirs.
This would have been
a living part of the
reef, and still should be. You
may also discover to
your cost that a lot of countries will now carry a heavy fine
and imprisonment for removing such items.
Please
purchase alternative souvenirs
as this will help the
local economy and people - think
first!!
You will find
below a selection of links to pages of information and education
which we will update as much as we can, the link to MCS
are for the photographers code
and seashore code.
Please note all linked pages and logos
remain the respective copyright of there relevant owners and unless
implied are not the copyright of underwaterposters.co.uk.
And have been placed here with the owners permission.
